2010 – Warmest March on record

It has been widely reported in the last few days that March 2010 is the warmest March on record, based on average land and sea records. I have been watering my London garden for two weeks now to keep spring planting alive, and my lawn looks like it normally does in June. The level of the New River, passing about 100 metres from my house, which supplies part of the London freshwater, has fallen by about 300mm in about two weeks.
